Infostoria Agents
Infostoria agents turn content repositories into
standards-based Web services that can be connected to an
enterprise service bus. They are also used to publish
information describing content saved in these repositories
in the centralized content directory.
Infostoria Content Directory
The content directory maintains meta-data, full-text index,
and low-resolution proxies for content stored in the various
content repositories. Users and applications can browse the
content directory and search for content. When they need a
high-resolution version of a digital asset, they can
retrieve it directly from its native repository via the
corresponding agent.
Content Delivery
The content delivery service of the Infostoria Platform can
be used to asynchronously retrieve and deliver very large
files such as videos and CAD drawings. It is possible to
"push" assets to a group of users via the service. Users can
also "pull" files that they find in the content directory
via the content delivery mechanism.
Common Services
The list of Infostoria common services includes process
orchestration, distributed event management, content
transcoding, distributed single sign-on and others.

Digital content exploded on the scene. We no longer control it. Its volume is multiplying exponentially and, if we are not careful, it will soon control us. The majority of our time will be spent classifying, securing and archiving digital content...
